| 요약 | Over 20 years of theory building have produced a bipolar continuum of rape theories. On one pole, the feminist theory says that (a) male needs for power and control motivate rape behavior and (b) males learn rape behavior from pornography and other patriarchal structures in the environment. On the other pole, the biosocial theory says that (a) male sex drive motivates rape behavior and (b) males learn rape behavior through successive approximations of sexual access behavior. The staggering human trauma of rape begs for effective rape prevention. The author of the biosocial theory called for skeptical examination of its explanatory power for rape behavior and rape prevention. This study explored the role of learning in male rape behavior as framed in the biosocial theory. |

Over 20 years of theory building have produced a bipolar continuum of rape theories. On one pole, the feminist theory says that (a) male needs for power and control motivate rape behavior and (b) males learn rape behavior from pornography and other patriarchal structures in the environment.
